The void zones will be left behind after Shadow Fissure casts reducing the available amount of space, and Kel’Thuzad will unleash some Foul Winds that attempt to blast everyone off of the platform. The Phylactery phase also gets a pair of new mechanics. Each time the raid gets through his Phylactery phase and starts the fight over again, Kel’Thuzad gets another stack of Necrotic Surge - further increasing the number of mechanics that the raid has to overcome. Failure to do so ensures that the raid will be frozen solid and torn apart by ravenous undead. Kel’Thuzad was the final barrier standing between Sylvanas and the guilds brave enough to take the fight to her, and he’d been fully empowered by the Jailer to do his bidding - and he did his best to use that power to make frozen corpses of all who would challenge him. Right off the bat Mythic Kel’Thuzad is going to start with two stacks of his Necrotic Surge, not only increasing the damage that he does to the raid, but the quantity of Glacial Wrath and Oblivion’s Echo casts - each of these abilities spawn additional enemies that need to be carefully managed.
